Do you want to inspire your students to think about a career in the NHS?
Allied health professionals (AHPs) play a crucial role in helping patients live life as fully as possible. There are many different AHP careers; they work as a part of the core team in emergency response and diagnosis for mental and physical rehabilitation. The fourteen allied health professions are:
- Art therapists
- Dietitians
- Drama therapists
- Music therapists
- Occupational therapists
- Operating department practitioners
- Orthoptists
- Osteopaths
- Paramedics
- Physiotherapists
- Podiatrists
- Prosthetists and orthotists
- Radiographers
- Speech and language therapists
At the workshop students will:
- Take part in interactive activities and learn about what it's like to work in the NHS
- Learn about different careers available, and how they could start out their NHS career
Who's this suitable for?
Available for students in Years 7 to 12, depending on location.
- Coventry - Year 7, 8 and 9
- Lincolnshire - Year 7, 8 and 9
Where is this delivered?
The programme is delivered in-person at local venues by a Talent Foundry facilitator and supported by NHS Ambassadors including nurses, midwives and an AHP
