Network Rail Career Kickstart
This workshop offers your students meaningful work experience as well as the chance to improve their career readiness skills, learn workplace behaviours and practice mock interviews, application exercises and assessment centre tasks (depending on the year group).

What's involved?
Year 10/11 Workshop – "Exploring Your Future"
This workshop gives students the chance to explore their skills, interests, and values while learning about workplace behaviours and essential employability skills. Designed to help students start making informed choices about their next steps, the session also introduces them to the many exciting pathways into rail and the wider world of work.
Year 12/13 Workshop – "Future Ready"
This session is designed to give sixth form students practical preparation for the world of work. Through mock interviews, application exercises, and assessment centre tasks, students will build confidence and strengthen the skills employers are looking for. They’ll also hear about real opportunities and career routes into rail, supporting them to make confident, informed decisions about their futures.
This workshop is designed to effectively bridge the gap between the curriculum and the world of work, enabling your students to take their next steps with confidence and to build their networking skills.
The workshop is roughly three hours long, delivered by a professional Talent Foundry facilitator and supported by Network Rail volunteers.
