Connect to Tech
Connecting experienced Dell employees with talented young people looking to explore careers in technology.
What's involved?
Connect to Tech enables students to explore careers in technology through meaningful, structured conversations with Dell employees. Over six one-hour online sessions, the programme gives students direct access to industry insight, guidance and inspiration, while encouraging leaders to learn from the perspectives of the next generation.
Each student is paired with a senior mentor and supported by a trained coach, creating a collaborative environment where both mentor and mentee exchange ideas, experiences and challenges. Through guided discussions, reflective check-ins and reverse mentoring, participants build confidence, develop career awareness and gain a deeper understanding of the technology sector.
Topics covered include:
- the skills, experiences and approaches needed to be successful
- emerging technology, jobs of the future, how AI will change the technology industry
- elevator pitches, professional introductions and networking confidence
- use of LinkedIn for networking
Across the programme, students explore the realities of working in tech, the skills needed to succeed, and how to communicate their strengths and ambitions.
Who's this suitable for?
