  • What's involved?

    Your students have the unique opportunity to achieve an industry-recognised computing accreditation funded by Dell Technologies.

    This is a great opportunity for students who are looking to launch a career in IT, computing or the wider tech and digital sectors to make their CVs stand out from the crowd - whether taking the next steps into the world of work, an apprenticeship or higher education.

    Over the course of 12 weeks (1 x 1.5 - 2-hour virtual session per week), students will gain a solid foundation in various tech-related topics, employability skills, and prepare for the CompTIA ITF+ certification. Students will be connected with Dell mentors in these 12 virtual sessions.

    Students will be asked to dedicate time for self-study for the exam, but will be supported by expert mentors, and will gain a qualification equivalent to a Level 3, providing an amazing launch pad into the industry and working world.

    Who's this suitable for?

    This programme is available to students in Years 12 - 13, or S5 - S6 in Scotland.

    Students must be studying IT/Computing/an equivalent subject, and have an interest in a career in this industry.

    Students also need to meet at least one of the following criteria:

    • Eligible for Pupil Premium or free school meals prior to or during sixth form (students in England) or eligible for Pupil Equity Funding or free school meals (students in Scotland).
    • Current recipient of sixth form bursary (students in England) or currently eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance (students in Scotland).
    • Care experienced.
    • Young carer.
    • The first person in their immediate family looking to attend university.

    Where is this delivered?

    7 x Virtual Technical Skills sessions delivered by UA92 (2 hours for each workshop)

    5 x Virtual Employability Sessions delivered by The Talent Foundry (1.5 hours for each workshop)
