Insight Days
Insight Days offer students the opportunity to explore key business areas within Network Rail, providing valuable insight into the people, skills and pathways that keep Britain's railway moving. Each workshop will focus on a specific function, including AI & Technology, Finance, Engineering, Marketing and Customer Service, helping students discover the variety of careers available across the organisation.
What's involved?
Taking place at Network Rail's offices in Milton Keynes, this session, aligned with the equalex framework, will give students the unique chance to step into a real workplace environment. They will hear directly from industry professionals and explore the roles and skills required in Network Rail's marketing team.
As part of the Marketing Insight Day, students will take on the challenge of helping launch the new Great British Railways (GBR) brand. Working as a marketing, communications and brand team, they will explore how a new brand is brought to life across websites, signage, uniforms, leaflets and other customer-facing materials.
Students will also consider how to communicate a major change to millions of passengers, build positive public perception, and collaborate with different teams to deliver a successful national brand launch.
By connecting learning to real-world careers and business challenges, the workshops will help students make more informed decisions about their future education and career pathways.
