Opening Doors to Opportunities: Office Edition
The programme gives students a real taste of what it’s like to work in a large global organisation. They’ll step into a professional office environment and take on a workplace task inspired by a real client brief, building their confidence and key employability skills.
What's involved?
Students will discover how KPMG helps businesses solve real-world problems and work more effectively. Taking on the role of KPMG consultants, and guided by employee mentors, students will tackle a challenge based on a real client brief.
Tasks may explore a range of topics, including:
- how a business can impact society and the environment
- using AI to support and improve aspects of a business
- linking numeracy skills to understanding tax in society
All activities are designed to help students think creatively, solve problems, work collaboratively, and communicate with confidence. Through these experiences, students will develop a broad range of transferable skills that will support their future success in education, employment, and beyond.
Students also get a guided tour of the KPMG offices, meet and network with employees/mentors from many areas of the business who will share their different career pathways and act as role models.
The whole experience was inspiring and engaging…There was a definite buzz on the train journey home with learners asking when the next trip will be. Teacher
