What's involved?

The programme supports the participating young people to build professional networks, seek expert advice and guidance from positive role models in industry, and raise awareness about the varied opportunities in the area, including higher education and apprenticeships.

Through the course of the programme, young people are supported by our facilitators and local and national employers to develop skills, build confidence and enhance aspirations. Students engaged with peers from other schools, learn about career routes they didn't know existed, and build skills that will ultimately support them to make the transition from education to meaningful employment.

Who's this suitable for?

This programme is available to students in Year 10, in Rochdale and Middlesbrough.

Special consideration is given to students who meet one or more of the following criteria:

  • Eligible for free school meals or Pupil Premium
  • Care experienced or Looked After Children
  • Children with a social worker
  • Young people at risk of exclusion

Where is this delivered?

The workshops will be delivered by TTF facilitators and supported by volunteers from careers and industries across the area.

Teachers must attend with students, and remain at the workshop for the duration.
