9th September 2025 Ambition 2030: Opportunity unlocked; futures secured

A message from our CEO
We’re proud to announce the launch of Ambition 2030, our bold new five-year strategy to unlock opportunities for young people in under-served communities across the UK. Here’s a message from our CEO, Jenni Anderson:
“With nearly one million young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), now is the time to step up our efforts. We can’t give up. Our team at The Talent Foundry is working tirelessly to spark ambition and unlock opportunity for young people nationwide, and this new strategy is part of our ambitious plan to reach even more of the students who are most likely to miss out on opportunities that could change their lives over the next five years.”
Launching Ambition 2030
Ambition 2030 will enable the TTF team to take our work and impact to the next level. We believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to succeed and thrive, irrespective of their background.
We’ve helped over 170,000 people in the last three years and 700,000 since TTF was founded in 2009. It’s time to take it up a notch.
Our priorities for change
Through new and existing partnerships with schools and employers, we will achieve our ambitions through three key priorities:
-
To prepare young people for a future they can choose with confidence
-
To be a trusted and reliable link between education and employment – for both young people and industry volunteers
-
To scale our impact through sustainable means to reach a total of one million people since our foundation was established
How our programmes make a difference
The TTF team works to support social mobility alongside an amazing community of educators, employers, facilitators and volunteers. We will only achieve our goals if we work in collaboration to encourage young people to think differently about their futures.
Our programmes and initiatives introduce a broad range of industries and job roles into classrooms across the country, giving young people the chance to experience things they never thought possible. From in-school workshops and workplace visits to mentoring and advice, TTF helps students gain invaluable skills and confidence.
Partners from sectors including finance, healthcare, creative industries and rail bring their expertise directly into classrooms, helping students recognise their strengths, solve problems creatively and prepare for the world of work.
Why partnerships matter
Students who take part in our sessions often return to their schoolwork with a renewed sense of purpose and ambition. They begin to believe in their potential, regardless of their background, and are inspired to work hard to achieve their newfound goals.
This can’t be achieved by TTF alone. We need your help, and whether you are an educator or a careers adviser, you can rest assured that our new strategy will enable us to provide better services and programmes to your students, with a wider range of opportunities for learning and making connections in the professional world.
If you’re leading social mobility efforts or talent pathways in a company and would like to partner with TTF to create tangible change, reach out and talk to us about the incredible opportunities you could support.
Our commitment to social mobility
At the heart of Ambition 2030 is our core promise: to help increase social mobility. We believe that a young person’s start in life should not determine where they can get to.
Working with TTF will allow students to access a brighter future and enable industry partners to participate in building a fairer society. That’s something we all deserve to be proud of, and something that we hope the wider community will step up to support.
Join us in shaping the future
The TTF team is dedicated to uplifting under-served students nationwide. Ambition 2030 lays out our plan for the next five years. It puts our values on paper, ensuring that we remain committed to our goals, and establishes a framework that will remind us of the ‘why’ behind what we do.
With so many young people NEET, and the post-COVID social mobility gap widening day by day, it's up to everyone to help young people thrive. An equitable future is one where all young people have the opportunity to dream and achieve.
With Ambition 2030, we’re making that future possible – and we invite you to join us. Get in touch with our Director of Programmes and Partnerships, Cate Smith, to find out how you can support young people in your community.
