Following the success of the 2025 London to Brighton Cycle Challenge, proudly sponsored by Morgan Sindall Construction, The Talent Foundry is delighted to announce its next major fundraising event: the Manchester to Blackpool Cycle Challenge on 8 May 2026.

This year’s challenge will bring together 78 colleagues from the built environment sector and the Department for Education, united in their commitment to supporting young people from under-served communities to thrive regardless of background.

Participants will take on one of two exciting routes: a beginner-friendly 47-mile ride or a more challenging 70-mile route through the stunning Lancashire hills. Both routes will finish at the iconic Blackpool Tower, where riders will come together to celebrate their shared commitment to creating brighter futures for the next generation.

The event is made possible thanks to the generous support of sponsors Morgan Sindall Construction, Arcadis, and Mott MacDonald. Together, these leading industry partners are championing equal opportunities and inspiring the next generation through education and collaboration.

Dave Wood, Framework Director at Morgan Sindall, said:

We’re thrilled to be supporting The Talent Foundry’s second one-day UK based regional cycle challenge following the huge success of last years’ London to Brighton challenge, continuing our long-term support of the important work they do within the communities we work in. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together with likeminded people in aid of a great cause.

Andrew Williamson, Project Director at Mott MacDonald, said:
